The BEST tire for All Season sport performance. I have these on both my 2015 BMW 550i M Sport staggered set up and 2000 Z3 2.8 M Sport. Ride can be harsh on bumps and potholes but otherwise smooth. The cars corner extremely well and the 550 RWD has performed well in 2-3" of snow! Rain traction is insanely good. Look on Tire Rack and you will find there is no better tire for performance sedans. Anyone who complains did not get the correct tire for their car.
Best tires I every had. Handles super well in rain and snow. Take pot holes well no side wall issues. Tires wear well I have own a few setts of these.
I bought these to replace summer only tires thinking that a bit of all season ability is not a bad thing in Wisconsin where it can snow even in early or late summer. I will say the tires are incredibly grippy in a corner. Far better than what I had. When cornering at the limit, the tire would release and reconnect in a pulsing manner - the tire just wants to hold and the limits are very high for an all season radial. That said, the pulsing was disconcerting. The tire was initially very quiet. But, Quattro is notoriously hard on tires and I probably should have rotated them more fanatically than I did - but work gets in the way. So, now they’re very noisy. The related problem is fast wear. I drive hard very infrequently - mostly highway miles at steady state so I should get reasonable wear out of any tire. However, in exchange for the grippiness, tire wear is very rapid. While these have higher limits than the OEM summer tires I had, I have gotten less than 25% of the mileage out of them. So, I wont be purchasing them again.
These tires handle great in both wet and dry conditions! - better than any other tires I've driven on. Steering is very responsive and the tires are stable when pushed hard in the turns. Traction is exceptional. I haven't taken them into snow conditions yet and will rarely do so. The tires are pretty quiet, except on occasional rough concrete, and are a little quieter than the prior generation of A/S 3s I replaced.
Two sets within 60 days. Both sets shipped to Dealer were out of round. Dealer in both cases did their best to make it right but flat spots were too pronounced. Michelin's solution? Buy (their) more expensive tires. No thanks. Soon as these POS wear out, I'm buying another brand.
Just a little over 1000 miles on the new A/S 3+ tires. Great traction and handling! - as expected. Wet and dry cornering is outstanding. And these are a little smoother and quieter than the prior generation of A/S 3's they replaced (both V rated). I haven't hit any deep puddles at speed yet, though the prior model was very good at not hydroplaning. Driving in snow will be very rare. I got over 45K miles on the prior A/S 3's and hope to get at least that many on the new model.
The Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ is a performance all-season tire that offers the grip, performance, and feel of a summer tire with the climate capability needed for below freezing temperatures. Dry transaction is equivalent of what one would expect of summer tires, eliminating the tire squeal and looseness associated with a general touring all-season. This is complimented with a reinforced sidewall, communicating the road surface vividly throughout a proper, factory hydraulic steering setup and stably articulating on the road. Wet transaction is also excellent, offering no evidence that suggests any danger of loosing traction. Relative to the Michelin Premier A/S which feels the same in all the conditions, the Pilot Sport A/S 3+ allows one to feel the differences of current road conditions to drive accordingly. Snow traction has yet to be determined, but is expected to perform at or above expectations to the Continental DWS06.
the worst tires ever. The set of 4 bought 2 years ago. One of them exploded after my first longer trip (after 800 km), have to buy the fifth one because they said it was not tire fault. Now after two years and less then 40,000 km they are totally worn and flat, so I have to buy new set. I complained to Michelin, but of course all is lost in cyber world and hundred of documents you have to have in order to be partially reimbursed and only if you go again with Michelin.
